Jake Stevens works as he lives with plenty of passion and loads of enthusiasm.
Auctioneer and real estate agent, Jake is the first to admit you can't achieve success unless you love what you do. He is the quieter version of a real estate agent, the kind who listens to his client's needs and wants, then seeks the much-desired match. Jake feels he has finally found his niche in life, the perfect balance between the lifestyle in the city he loves and a profession that is both challenging and rewarding.
Jake moved into real estate in 2006, joining the BK Agency in 2008.
"I've always had a inclination to get into auctioneering and it is every bit as exciting, rewarding and enjoyable as I knew it would be." As head in-house auctioneer for BK Agency, Jake has come to appreciate the process of selling under the hammer further. "You get three opportunities to sell this way", he says "It can be sold prior to auction, under the hammer or post auction - for a seller this is the absolutely the best way to go because it is a true way of testing the market and achieving the best outcome on the day." It is an emotive way to sell or buy property. "I love the excitement of an auction", says Jake "There is nothing quite like selling a home under the hammer. I like to make people feel comfortable, by making the whole buying and selling experience as enjoyable and stress free as possible. I want to know I make a difference in people's lives."
Jake has worked in a number of industries and travelled the globe, but is adamant there's no place like home.
