Dave was born in Dannevirke but raised in Linton in the Manawatu.
Dave returned to Dannevirke around 2010 to continue his Policing career after being stationed for 8 years in Palmerston North. After a total of around 14 years in front line policing Dave made a change to support his wife in their new local business, as well as joining the Dannevirke Property brokers team working part time for two years, as sales support in the rural sector.
Dave has always had a strong connection to his community and helped with community events, he is a member of Dannevirke Lions, Dannevirke Community crew and currently Deputy chairperson on the Tararua Youth board.
While working in sales support role at Property Brokers, Dave gained his National Certificate in Real Estate in 2019.
With a love for the outdoors Dave enjoys tramping, hunting, fishing and generally getting outside with his large extended family. Dave and his wife have also bought and sold a range of homes from Kapiti, Palmerston North city, Palmerston North rural, until settling in Dannevirke. They have enjoyed renovating many of these homes. Dave describes himself as a people person and has always been involved in careers that have a strong focus in dealing with people. From 15 years of retail sales, to 14 years policing, Dave enjoys the everyday challenge that it brings.
