Grant has an understanding of farming, his negotiation skills and
long association within the rural sector, Grant is available to
have a confidential discussion in view of taking your property to
the market.
On the 25th November 1971 Grant was employed by
the Otago Farmers Co-operative as a junior clerk with a
commencing salary of $24.90 per week. However, he tells us
his passion to work in the agriculture industry over shadowed
the minimal starting wage.
He has been a livestock agent in the Otago, Central Otago and
Canterbury regions and has developed a strong understanding
of farming from arable, sheep, beef, dairy support and dairying.
He will continue to work for Farmlands Livestock as a dairy
representative whilst pursuing a career with the Farmlands Real
Estate team.
Grant and his wife Betty have lived in the Selwyn district for the
past 30 years, they have 3 sons, 3 lovely daughter-in-laws and
adorable grandchildren.
Grant is a long time member of the Malvern Lions Club and
served as president in 2011/2012, his other great interest is
rugby which he has coached the under 10’s to the seniors for
the Darfield club as well as at Ellesmere representative level.
In 2012 Grant was awarded a life membership to the Darfield
Rugby Club.
