Jimmy Chew is the eldest of seven born in Teluk Intan, Malaysia. From this warm family background, Jimmy emerged into the working world as a printer and eventually bought his own printing factory specializing in office stationery for 6 years. When he sold the factory, Jimmy, his wife and 3 pre-school children chose New Zealand as their future home. He worked as a printer for 11 years, was self-employed for 4 years as a baker. Now a resident of Mt Roskill, Jimmy’s 3 adult children are all now in successful careers. His spare time is spent promoting and sharing his culture and with a background in martial arts, he also spends time coaching in clubs and schools. He speaks English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien all of which he learnt at school and by practising on his friends. Family and friends also benefit from Jimmy’s passion for crafting wooden furniture and kitchen fittings. The challenge Real Estate represents is one Jimmy, with his patience and hardworking nature is sure to conquer and find himself with many more friends.
