I was born in New Plymouth and raised in the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula, spending summers fishing off the rocks on the Thames Coast and holidaying with the family in Whangamata.

After moving to Auckland I completed studies in Microbiology Laboratory Science whilst working at the then Princess Mary Hospital for Children, which was rebuilt to become the now Starship Children’s Hospital. After a decade plus of studying the travel bug hit and I was encouraged by friends and family to join Air New Zealand. Needless to say, my initial plan to fly for a couple of years and then return to the hospital environment did not eventuate and I remained with Air New Zealand as both an Inflight Manager and Emergency Procedures Trainer for 17 years. So much for my dream of perhaps becoming a GP or a Vet???  To this day I have unfounded loyalty to the Air New Zealand brand and family.

It is due to this background that I have a good understanding of great communication, duty of care and the importance of trust in all of my client relationships.

Passionate about property, I left the transient life of the “skyways” to begin my career in Real Estate. I had always had a love affair with investing in property both from a personal and an investment stand point. My artistic and marketing background has also become an important tool in what is becoming more and more a visual business.

As an introduction to Real Estate I initially started in the role of EA to a Franchise Owner. This afforded me a huge understanding of the industry as a whole. During this time I was proud to be party to assisting him to receive “Franchise Owner of the Year” distinction. Subsequently I became a Salesperson and in my fifth month was nominated for ‘Rookie of the Year’. By the end of my first year I had achieved ‘Captain’ status, meaning I could rank myself in amongst some of New Zealand’s top Real Estate performers.  For the next four years I took my business to the next level and was awarded ‘Multimillion Dollar’ and ‘500 Club’ status  - Top 2% National Recognition.

While Auckland had become home to me there was still the ultimate desire to move to The Bay. Having visited family and friends on a regular basis for more than twenty years the atmosphere, beaches and community were a lure that could not be resisted.

I am excited to be joining two of the Bay’s most Elite Real Estate professionals; Team Q – Quintin and Janelle Havenga, and look forward to continuing my passion for property and people here!
