Alan Wilson - Arizto
Alan Wilson started his career as an aircraft engineer with the RNZAF. After ten years and several overseas deployments Alan moved into a sales engineering role which required a high level of technical knowledge with the ability to build relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat sales contracts.
In the 90s Alan moved on to an international marketing role in the telecommunications industry within the continents of Africa and Europe. This role required the management of 20 agents, liaison with clients and relevant Government personnel within each country of the region. The role was mainly focussed on sales and marketing with a necessary understanding of the technical aspects of radio link systems being required.
It was during this time that Alan became heavily involved in property ownership and renovation and over the years has meticulously upgraded at least twenty properties.
After three years Alan became International Sales & Marketing Director for another international company which specialised in telecommunications design and manufacture. He managed existing customers and distributors in New Zealand and Asia and two account managers responsible for South America and Europe.
In 2003 Alan moved to Robinson Seismic Ltd as CEO. Utilising his skills in management, engineering, organisation and marketing, Alan’s primary focus in this role was to migrate a successful New Zealand based scientific institution with their own patents into an international commercial enterprise. Alan achieved this goal over a period of 9 years successfully gaining significant business in the markets of Turkey, Iran, India, Korea, Taiwan, USA and Indonesia. Success in this role initiated a move to Hong Kong in 2007 to enable better management of the international business and country managers from a central point.
Robinson’s profile increased within the industry worldwide and with that recognition it was inevitable that the business was eventually sold to an overseas company. After winding up life in Hong Kong, Alan moved back to New Zealand where he started looking for another exciting role in which he could put his various talents to the best use. An opportunity arose to become a Sales Consultant with Harcourts which is an ideal role for Alan to utilise his knowledge and passion for real estate and commitment to customer service.
Alan spent just over five years with Harcourts Team Wellington, honing his skills as a Real Estate Consultant in residential sales with a great track record winning several awards along the way. People describe me as energetic, driven and ready to put in the hard work required to help vendors sell their most valuable asset. Coupled this with my knowledge of structures and the ability to assist getting a home ready for sale (yes, I can do gib stopping), means you get more than a real estate consultant when you hire me.

We first encountered Alan and Lynette at an open home and where impressed with their knowledge of the home and the Wellington market in general. After considering multiple options, we decided to utilise their services in selling our Wadestown family home. What stood out most is the level of engagement from Alan and Lynette in assisting us to prepare our home for sale – from advice on painting and staging, to gib-stopping some holes in the walls, to helping with culling items from shelves to achieve the ideal look for our home.
Alan also showed his DIY know-how to secure parts of the roof that had become loose. While our home did not sell immediately – despite Alan and Lynette’s best efforts - they never gave up, pursuing buyers and ultimately creating a sales agreement that was highly satisfactory to all parties concerned. Alan and Lynette were always open, communicative and available to answer any questions and address any issues we had. They have a warm, friendly and personable approach, which made the whole house-selling process a lot more manageable! We absolutely recommend Alan and Lynette as a team who will work determinedly to ensure the best possible outcome in the sale of your home.

I have a tale that is the best of times and the worst of times.
In 2018 I was wanting to sell my Wellington penthouse. I was given Alan and Lynettes names by a friend who strongly recommended them, as honest, energetic and effective land agents with heart. That, unknowingly to me at the time, was the “best of times”.
And so, the saga started to unravel around the apartment building. There were problems with leaks in the building not directly affecting my penthouse, but the remedy has caused it to be uninhabitable. Two years later my penthouse has now become liveable AND sold by Alan.
The intervening two years have been a nightmare “the worst of times”. My disability has not helped as accessing my apartment has been very difficult. No problem, Alan stepped in. His working knowledge of buildings is astonishingly vast, his integrity is as vast and strong, his calm patience and ability to see through all sorts of problems are exceptional, and yes, with heart Alan has visited my property at least once a week for 24 months. He has never asked for any compensation for this, as he feels that it is just part of the “package”.
On the very day that the apartment was finally ready to go to sale, Alan furnished me with multiple offers and the penthouse was SOLD! If you are wanting to sell in Wellington I can offer you no better agent than Alan Wilson. You will be guaranteed honesty, integrity, energy all backed up by building and market knowledge. You will receive weekly updates on the market and your property and easy access by phone, text and emails if required. Thank you, Alan, I am seriously in your debt. As potential future clients I am offering you no better advice than to employ Alan.

"I first met Alan after he completed an appraisal for my property in Wellington some years ago. It wasn’t until a few years later when I was ready to sell that I contacted Alan to be the agent to sell my property. Through the process I found Alan was excellent at communicating, professional, competent and experienced. These attributes were the foundation for a smooth and easy process to sell my property.
While living in the South Island and selling the house remotely, Alan made this particular challenge very easy. He took care of a number of tasks which I was not able to do being away from the property. He arranged all necessary tasks that were required to sell the house including house cleaning, advertising/marketing, staging for the empty property and repairs to some of the property. Having never sold a house I was able to rely on Alan's experience and found him completely able and trustworthy in the process.
Alan absolutely went the extra mile personally tidying up the property and spending time touching up elements of the house that needed work. He also went the extra mile picking me up from the airport and being available in any way that he was able to support this process and ensure we obtained the best result possible from the sale of the house.
Alan’s expertise and connections absolutely came to the fore in this process and resulted in a large amount of genuine interest and the successful sale of the property. I can’t speak highly enough of the professionalism, competence and personal touch Alan brought to this process for which I am extremely grateful.”
I realise I probably haven’t captured everything in here as you did so much, but I hope this helps and that it’s something you can use as a testimonial or as a referral for the great work you’ve done for us. I’m ever so grateful for everything. Let me know what you think.
Many thanks, Miriam
