The West Harbour branch of Barfoot & Thompson opened in 1996, and has been serving this fast growing suburb ever since.

The Barfoot & Thompson team is made up mostly of locals with many decades of combined experience in the real estate industry. Most of our staff, including those in property management and administration, have been a real estate salesperson at some stage in their lives. This means, regardless of who you're dealing with, you can rest assured that they have a working knowledge and understanding of the business.

The West Harbour team are passionate about the area, and the office environment is a great balance of fun and hard work. The team have a culture of honesty, integrity and true teamwork. They work together - sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure the best results possible for every client.

Similarly, as a non franchised agency, Barfoot & Thompson works together to the benefit of its clients. All 1,700+ salespeople work for Barfoot & Thompson, rather than individual franchises. This means all listings and information are shared among the company's 77+ offices across Auckland and Northland - so any salesperson can introduce a potential buyer to your property.

West Harbour is an area of tremendous growth - demonstrated by the new town centre currently under construction and the popularity of the Hobsonville Point subdivision. Housing ranges from modest starter homes for young families to larger executive styled homes, waterfront mansions and lifestyle properties of several acres.

The area boasts many orchards, vineyards and garden cafes, as well as easy access to the CBD via the motorway or the ferry from Westpark Marina. Nearby Westgate shopping centre offers great shopping as well as cafes, restaurants and theatres. Two new schools have opened recently, a primary/intermediate in 2012, and a new secondary school in 2014.
