The rural industry is in the Kelly blood. The family has landholdings in Taranaki and Peter's father was general manager for a livestock service company for many years. His daughter is a qualified veterinarian working in Auckland, one son is a builder and Quantity Surveyor working in Hamilton and the other has just finished a four year degree in land and property management at Lincoln University majoring in rural valuations. The Kellys currently reside in Te Kowhai and have a maize block on the outskirts of Hamilton. They are actively involved in the Te Kowhai community where Juliet teaches at the local school and Peter, a former chairman of the school's board of trustees, has headed numerous fundraisers and is a Bayleys ‘Super Giver’ with regular donations to the Make a Wish fund.
Having been involved in at least 10 property transitions, Peter knows what it's like to be on the other side of the fence. He is proud to be aligned with Bayley’s Country division, a leading real estate agency with expertise in marketing farms and lifestyles throughout NZ
