Mike has recently transplanted his 25 years of experience at a senior level in the New Zealand wine industry into the Bayleys Marlborough business.

Extensive knowledge and skills have helped wine companies, vineyard owners and investors close the gap for both vendors and customers which has resulted in multiple vineyard/business sales and leases.

Extensive experience in hospitality, liquor retail and marketing supported by study of both viticulture and winemaking means he has an unparalleled understanding of wine and business.

He has a wealth of experience and relationships within the New Zealand wine industry, with his resume reading like a roll call of the country’s finest wine brands including; Giesen, Craggy Range, Mud House and Villa Maria. Mike’s even worked with one of Australia’s finest – McWilliams Wines.

Connectivity is a key component in making sure that properties are marketed to the widest customer base nationally and internationally and Mike has developed an extensive database of active customers and investors to expose your property to. Having spent the last 15 years in Marlborough working with grower contracts, lease agreements and now real estate; people and the land are what Mike really understands. Outside of work, Mike enjoys home improvement and landscape gardening. Not surprisingly, he’s passionate about food and wine and enjoys entertaining and cooking for family and friends. That’s balanced by his love of mountain biking on the hills around Blenheim, fishing in the Marlborough Sounds and winter ski trips.
