Ellyn Brunskill’s path to her current role as a licensed real estate salesperson with Tall Poppy Tauranga has been directed by a notable past career both in New Zealand and the USA.

Ellyn has had an outstanding track record in content marketing, consulting, coaching and project management. Her background has included a period with Roll Global where she travelled across the U.S. consulting on the various business issues within brands and horticultural businesses, like POM Wonderful, Sunkist, and Teleflora. Originally born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Ellyn has a BA in English Literature and Fine Arts and started out after college copywriting for real estate publications. She met her Kiwi husband-to-be whilst skiing in Colorado and this determined her move to the Mount then later the Papamoa Hills, in the Bay of Plenty in the mid-1990s.

For the past 17 years Ellyn and her husband – a BOP local - have owned and run a nationwide watersports website that provides guidance, surf information and support to coastal communities. Over the years Ellyn has also contributed to the improved operations of several local not-for-profit organisations and has plans to continue this. From 2015 – 2019 she was a financial coach advising and guiding clients to financial health and freedom.

She had admired the real estate profession for decades so in late 2019 she achieved her licensed salesperson certificate and after a short stint at another brand was shoulder-tapped to join Tall Poppy Tauranga. Ellyn’s naturally warm and friendly approach is appreciated by her growing list of real estate clients who praise her confidence, insight and laid-back style. She is incredibly excited to now be upholding the client-focussed Tall Poppy philosophy of transacting property with fairer fees and exceptional marketing.

Very well-connected after years of involvement throughout the Tauranga and Mount regions in the surfing scene and with her two teenage kids growing more independent, Ellyn, who is an accomplished artist has a little more time now to play tennis, indulge in SUP boarding and go hiking
