Who is Derryn Mayne?

My family grew up in Manurewa and moved into Weymouth when I was 10. When I left school I fell into a position as an Information Technology Administrator and over the years worked my way up to be become a Business Analyst specialising in IT Projects for various large manufacturing companies. After 18 years in the industry I was made redundant which gave me the opportunity to reflect and choose a career that I felt passionate about. It didn't take me long to realise that Real Estate was where my focus should be. From a young age I've loved property, purchasing my first home at 18 years old.

I completed my Diploma in Business Management in Real Estate in 2010. That along with my experience in the real estate industry has been invaluable for my customers. I opened up Century 21 Manurewa in April 2008 and have hit the ground running with the main focus on delivering personalised and professional service to each and every customer. I took over First National in Manurewa in 2011 and was fortunate to maintain the key sales people from that office. We've bonded really well and I'm thrilled with the team that we are able to present to the outside world. We all have the same vision and want the same outcome for our vendors and purchasers. We're currently ranked the number 1 Century 21 office in NZ and both myself and 4 other members of my team are in the top 21 salespeople for NZ.

I have a varied role within the industry looking after predominately the Weymouth and Manurewa area in sales, the greater South Auckland area in Property Management and I'm currently a tutor at Unitec New Zealand teaching the National Certificate in Real Estate to new entrants in the real estate industry. I believe this holds me in good stead regardless of whether you’re buying, selling or browsing, feel confident in the knowledge that your dealing with someone passionate about the industry, people and property.

I look forward to hearing from you in the near future, thanks for reading my page, Derryn.

Derryn at home...

I'm very lucky... I have a wonderfully understanding and supportive husband of 19 years, two fantastic boys aged 11 and 15, good friends, a very close family... and a very fat cat!, all of whom I enjoy spend time with. When I'm not attending open homes or helping people change homes I'm spending my time fishing, reading or hanging out with friends and family. I enjoy the occasional drink and love a good night out with good music, good company and terrible dancing!

I write a property update for the Weymouth News where I voice my opinions on the market conditions and advise potential and ongoing clients of what's happening in their area. While I predominately work in the Weymouth area I have been known to list and sell properties from small residential in Clendon through to large lifestyle in Bombay and everything in between.

I support the Weymouth Primary School gala every year. You'll see our large marquee on the field but you'll usually find me on the candy floss station... Sweet!
