Born and raised on a Banks Peninsula sheep and beef farm, Rhys is a 5th generation local with a genuine drive to succeed. Armed with the same tools that brought him success in his sporting and professional careers, Rhys specialises in rural and lifestyle properties. Rhys works to understand the needs and aspirations of customers and clients to achieve desired outcomes. Commitment, sacrifice, dedication and a strong competitive spirit sets him apart and will get you results.

Professionally he has developed multiple large rural assets for a prominent local farming corporate from planning and design through to operation, he understands the nuances associated with these properties and how to navigate them. He has personally developed several properties including lifestyle blocks and subdivisions, giving him the experience to make the transition easy for you. Having negotiated many high value contracts in his previous senior management positions, he is very comfortable at the negotiating table. He believes the best deals are the ones where everyone wins.

Rhys has had the privilege of travelling the world which has given him the ability to find common ground with all walks of life. At home and abroad, he was fortunate to be part of high performing rugby teams (Canterbury and Crusader development teams, NZ Universities and professionally overseas) and business units.

Effective, timely communication in a transparent manner supported by clear, detailed documentation are cornerstones of how Rhys operates. His career and background have provided him with a strong network across the district and country, opening up access to a wealth of knowledge.

In his ‘spare’ time Rhys can usually be found running around after his son, sailing on Akaroa Harbour, wandering the hills or engaging in one of the many outdoor pursuits our region offers. Rhys is hungry to stamp his mark and build a reputation of success through integrity and hard work.
