Owen entered the Real Estate industry in 1990, following an earlier career in land and property management with the former Department of Lands and Survey and then Land Corporation. After qualifying as a Branch Manager in 1993, Owen completed his exams in 1995 to become an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.

Following a very successful and award winning sales career, in 1996 Owen moved into ownership

of Blenheim Real Estate until early 2007, when he joined Mark Stevenson First National Blenheim, as a Director and shareholder. As Mark Stevenson’s business partner, Owens focus is on the day to day management and mentoring of the sales team and the business.

Owen is married to Eileen and recently they have developed a vineyard on their lifestyle block near Renwick where they currently reside. Their three adult children have “flown the nest”, Michael is a senior software developer in Wellington, Heather a graduate nurse resides in Blenheim with her husband and two sons, and Christopher a graduate lawyer specialising in international litigation is based in London.

With over 20 years Real Estate industry experience following many years involvement with Crown entities, Owen has a considerable depth of knowledge relevant to land and property issues, and takes great pride in being part of the leadership of a Company that is part of a significant and well respected Australasian Real Estate group, and an office that has been New Zealand’s top selling office for First National since 2005.
