Emma was born and raised in Nelson, where she attended Nelson College for Girls, and enjoyed sailing, skiing, fishing, diving, tramping, painting, sculpture, reading and cooking. For many years she lived in Wellington and then Auckland, working in the entertainment industry, where she has very broad experience in national and international production and stage management, sound, lighting, lasers and pyros, murals, design, art direction and scenic art for rock concerts, ballet, opera, theatre, corporate events and film and television. After moving to Thames in 2005 Emma started her own painting and decorating business, which kept her busy until starting in real estate in Oct'15.
