Jit and Jiggy Govind - Ray White
Jit joined the real estate industry in 1999, at the age of 26, after completing his degree at Massey University in Business Studies majoring in Valuation and Management. His interest in property was put to work almost immediately after graduating in 1997 designing and re launching a popular restaurant in Petone which he continued to work in until he was approached by a local real estate firm. In his early days of selling Jit rapidly grew to be a household name in Petone, having lived there for most of his life, he had intimate details of life in Petone. Aside from his selling, Jit renovated a family property in Petone and then went on to purchase his first home in Atiawa Street in 2000 which was a classic Petone ‘doer upper’, this increased his knowledge of the renovating aspects which claimed to be invaluable with his future sales.
In 2003, Jiggy joined the business and in 2004, they moved to Remax Real Estate, the move was to embrace a more flexible style of business with the ethos that each client is an individual and should be serviced accordingly. This allowed Jit to grow as a brand becoming a household name throughout Lower Hutt along with further investing in property and a family home. His achievements not only reached an elite standard locally and nationally but also internationally as one of the top ten real estate agents in Remax internationally.
On a personal note, Jit enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, coaching his son’s cricket team at Petone Cricket club and like most kiwis – supporting our national sports teams especially cricket and rugby.
Jit remains dedicated, continually upgrading and improving his service to his clients to ensure that he delivers a stress free, seamless sale for his clients.
