Describing himself as “a Papatoetoe boy at heart”, John McCracken, Licensee Agent and Sales Manager has a long track record in real estate sales, leadership, and community service. Running a diverse team of energetic and hard-working professionals, John has created a close-knit and collaborative culture focused on successful real estate solutions for clients across south Auckland.

Enjoying the archetypal Kiwi upbringing and with policing in his DNA John joined the police force after Papatoetoe High School where he’d been head boy and played first grade rugby.  After ten years on the beat, John was drawn to real estate. 

He’d built several spec homes, had a huge network of connections, and had an affinity with property as a result of his own personal buying and selling experiences.  

Since starting out over 25 years ago in the mid-1990s in Hill Park, John has shifted his focus on selling homes to successfully managing and motivating his own teams of salespeople.

Running in tandem with policing and real estate, John has also amassed an outstanding 27 years as an elected representative in local body politics for the South Auckland region. This includes Chairman and board member on the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board and serving on Auckland’s Unitary Plan Working Party.

John gets immense satisfaction from seeing newcomers to real estate launch their careers and thrive. His own real estate business has benefitted from a network of contacts from a number of strands of his working and personal life. 

Well-known in the district for his involvement with sports coaching, local body politics and horse-breeding on his Pukekohe farm with wife Stephanie, John is a family man, well-connected to the community. He and the Ray White Papatoetoe team are proud to be associated with the South Auckland Christian foodbank and other fundraising initiatives in the Indian community.
