No stranger to hard work and discipline, licensed real estate salesperson Luke Cairns brings years of direct client management experience into his role with the team at John Q & Co. Originally from South Africa, Luke moved to New Zealand with his family as a child. After leaving school his creative talents led to his acquiring a Diploma in Applied Animation and working in 3D animation before embarking on a building apprenticeship in Auckland. But his first love had always been helping people reach their goals so after completing his Fitness Diploma at AUT Luke became a Personal Trainer. Following a stint living overseas where he trained members of a Middle Eastern royal family, Luke returned to Auckland and for the next decade was a highly sought-after senior personal trainer at NexGen gym. He joined Ray White Parnell in 2022 having completed study towards his salesperson’s license that same year.

Many of the credentials needed for personal training are a perfect match for the real estate profession. Luke has huge empathy and quickly inspires trust and commitment from those he works with. Greatly intuitive with the capacity to read people well, Luke sees this as a significant strength during the fine art of negotiation. Able to see the bigger picture, culturally aware and well-organised, Luke tackles the process of transacting property always mindful of his client’s aspirations. He harnesses his artist’s eye for the visual considerations when marketing a property, while his building knowledge and goal-oriented transformative mindset are crucial assets too.  

Outside of real estate Luke and his wife are building a new home and have a young daughter so life is busy. He is also still invested in the PT space and devotes time to the gym and his fitness schedule.
