***property manager
Victoria travelled all the way from the United Kingdom. She arrived at Taylor Rentals in 2010, armed with four years’ property management experience gained at her family’s business in England. You could say best-practice property management is in her DNA.
The thing Victoria enjoys the most about working at Taylor Rentals is the collaborative support of her teammates. Sharing knowledge is part of the team culture, so landlords get the benefit of a huge pool of experience and expertise. If any property manager is under pressure, the others help out to ensure seamless service.
Beyond work, Victoria enjoys going to live music gigs and improving her fitness. She also loves exploring New Zealand, especially hiking and hiring baches in beach towns that offer a slice of genuine kiwiana lifestyle.
“Being likeable is important in this business. Tenants are much more inclined to fulfil their obligations cheerfully and look after the property they’re renting if you treat them with respect and make time to listen. After all, you’re going into their home every three months for an inspection, so you need to build a positive relationship. In this business it’s essential to communicate clearly and always have the landlord’s interests at heart.”
