Brent grew up in Brightwater, spent a few years in Christchurch, some time in Antarctica, then ended up traveling across the world on his mountain bike. He ended up marrying a beautiful Canadian lady (Lorene) and they were based in Wyoming USA for nearly 10 years. They owned a ski lodge and lived in Yogi Bear's backyard. They really enjoyed their time there but after having 2 children the lure of Nelson, New Zealand schools and family brought them back to the are to settle in Richmond.

Brent loves to spend time fishing out in Tasman Bay, mountain biking whenever he can and of course spending time with his family.
