Introducing Tom Burton - Licensee Salesperson

Tom's journey from the UK to New Zealand at the age of 10 marked the beginning of an incredible adventure that would shape his life. As soon as he arrived on the shores of New Zealand, he felt an instant connection to the coast, which soon became his home away from home.

Eager to immerse himself fully in his new life, Tom wasted no time in becoming an active participant in the vibrant coastal community. He joined the Red Beach Surf Club, where he embraced the thrill of riding the waves, patrolling beaches and developed a deep respect for the ocean. Alongside his lifeguard endeavors, Tom also joined the Hibiscus Coast football club, showcasing his passion for sports and his determination to excel in every aspect of his life.

In his early teens, Tom's commitment to beach safety led him to become an active lifeguard. He spent countless hours patrolling the local beaches, keeping a watchful eye on swimmers, and ensuring their safety in the ever-changing ocean conditions. His dedication to this role not only earned him respect within the community but also instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to serve others.

After graduating from high school, Tom made the decision to embark on a new chapter of his life by joining the Royal New Zealand Navy. Enlisting as a Marine Technician, he utilized his technical skills and knowledge to contribute to the smooth operation and maintenance of naval vessels. Over the past seven years, Tom's naval career has taken him to various countries across the Pacific, broadening his horizons and exposing him to different cultures and ways of life. However, throughout his travels, he never forgot his deep-rooted love for the coast that first captivated his heart.

Driven by a yearning for new experiences and a desire to share his passion for the coastal environment, Tom decided to step away from his naval duties. With an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the beauty and power of the ocean, he now seeks to explore new avenues where he can channel his love for the coast. Whether it's through environmental advocacy, community engagement, or pursuing a career that combines his maritime skills with his passion for the ocean, Tom is eager to make a lasting impact and continue his lifelong connection with the coast that has shaped his identity.
