Having been through the process of purchasing an historical homestead in Ōtaki a decade ago, Derek’s interest in real estate was piqued. Completely pivoting away from a long successful career in education, Derek became an agent with a local agency - quickly building a list of satisfied vendors and purchasers. After five informative years, it was time to start a new way to service real estate in the region – Derek style. Biting the bullet, he sought a vacant office space in the heart of Ōtaki mid-town where Kelly & Co was born and became the eleventh branch of the fastest growing real estate brand in the country – the AndCo Realty group.
