After completing a Diploma in Sports & Recreation and then a Certificate in Business, I began my working life in the fashion industry. Starting in a casual role, I eventually climbed the ladder to become a retail manager. During my five years in the rag trade, I learned how to understand what customers want and how to help them.

I feel connected to Northcote as it’s where I began my working life. It’s a laid-back, multicultural suburb with beautiful parks, nature reserves and even a mangrove-filled volcanic crater. An attraction for many people is the village-like Northcote Central Plaza featuring many Asian restaurants and food outlets.

In my spare time, I wind down from a busy working week by going to the gym, gaming, reading and looking after my pet bunny, Chico Bean. Rugby league, football and golf are sports that I follow and my love of fashion is ongoing.

An interesting philosophy that I always keep in mind is, “It is always you versus you. It always has been, it always will be.”
