I have been a part of the real estate industry for over 20 years and love every minute! I currently work for Barfoot and Thompson who hold similar values to myself in terms of honesty and family whilst making the job enjoyable and fun!

I believe a profile should give you an insight into the person you are about to trust totally with probably your biggest asset. Ultimately, the decision will be made when you meet face to face with me but this is just a little taste.

Firstly, I am not a flashy person –I am not the top seller in the company and also don’t believe that to be the best agent, you have to drive the latest Porsche and I do like a little work/life balance. I am a down to earth, honest person who believes that telling the truth, listening and having empathy is the way to gain trust. Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t talk because I do (and often too much if you ask some people!) but I care what happens to people and I care about endangered animals. And I care about each and every client of mine.

What I am is a real person who is good at their job. I have been through many challenging markets in my real estate career and I am still here, pretty much because I love doing the job I do and helping people make one of their biggest decisions.

I have laughed and cried with clients and in many cases, some have become very dear friends. But I know in every case, I have done my very best to help the people who have put their faith in me.

My passions outside of real estate are travel, sport and spending time with my son and family. I am originally from Scotland but stopped (literally) half way, in New Zealand, whilst on a round-the-world ticket and never left. That was in 1987! Having said that, my slightly obscure Scottish humour hasn’t left me!

I have travelled a lot of the world and from an early age, have seen the happy side and the not so happy poverty-stricken side of places. It has made me appreciate each and every day I am on this earth. Sport has played a big part in my life also, and I enjoy nothing more now than a long hike or an hour at the gym.

I hope that, after reading this, you will have the confidence to contact me to assist with your next venture in the real estate world.

Heather

I am happy to help vendors sell their property in any location throughout Auckland. I have sold properties from Karaka to Torbay and everywhere in between! Each property is marketed individually and I personally research each area to be able to offer the best possible service

"Our experience with Heather was nothing short of amazing. She played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our property transactions. Her dedication to our goals made the selling and buying journey so much better. She supported us as an agent and as a friend. This is our second time working with her and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again when the need arises. Heather's expertise and guidance were instrumental in securing a favourable sale price for our property. From the outset, Heather demonstrated a deep understanding of our preferences, making the search for our ideal home a targeted and efficient process. One of Heather's standout qualities is her unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. She tirelessly accommodated our numerous property visits, never once expressing impatience or hesitation. It was evident that she cared about our success as much as we did, and her personal touch made all the difference. Thanks to Heather for helping us achieve our property goals. If you're looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and personable agent, look no further than Heather.""
"It is rare these days to find that the outcome exceeds one's expectations but this has certainly been my experience at Barfoot and Thompson both on a personal level and the price realised at auction. When I told friends and colleagues that I had listed my Glenfield house with Barfoot and Thompson in Pt Chevalier I was questioned as to why I would list outside the area and I was met with predictions of doom and gloom that the local agents would not support the sale. For me the decision was clear cut - Heather Hannah was the deciding factor in this listing. For the last four years she has kept me well informed on market prices, for my property in Pt Chevalier, and has responded immediately to my many queries. As I had not sold a property since 1977, Heather talked me through the steps and then took me into the Shortland Street rooms so that I could see the auction process in auction. This was an invaluable experience. Travelling to the North Shore for viewings and the open homes posed no problem for her and neither were my many texts when I had yet another query. Throughout the week Heather updated me daily on viewings and interest shown in the property. She also included me in the photo shoot and gave me the opportunity to view the photos. In the days after the first open homes we received two pre-auction offers and I valued Heather's advice. On the presentation of a third offer I made the decision to accept. With the auction now being the next day, I have to say I had a moment of concern that the other registered bidders would not be able to attend - especially with it now being held at the office. However, I need not have worried because Heather and Simon swung into action to contact potential buyers. Heather also placed a notice on the board outside the house. An action that was instrumental in the final outcome. The successful purchaser was a woman who had seen Heather's amended notice, at 2pm that day, had rung for an agent to show her through, and had then gone straight to the auction at 4.00pm."
