"Proud to Provide an Extraordinary

Service, with Traditional Values"

Real estate was a natural progression for my career, having previously spent over 35 years in the construction and home renovation industry, and Barfoot & Thompson, as the market leader, was a natural choice. Having lived in West Auckland for over 40 years, I have worked and raised my family locally, and in that time I’ve seen the area grow from sleepy suburbs into busy, diverse and modern communities. But it has always been home, and I am passionate about our area and our people.

Originally starting out in the military, I moved into the painting and decorating industry; became Trade Certified (yes, I’m a ‘Tradie’), then transitioned to running my own company. It was here that I developed strong skills in staff and resource management, contract negotiation, managing multiple projects and deadlines and the importance of providing exceptional customer service. I’m also a dab hand at knowing the best way to add value and prepare your home for sale!

I approach everything I do with old fashioned values; the personal ethics of honesty, integrity and respect are of utmost importance to me, are pivotal to my core service, and the approach I take to business. Perhaps a little cliché, but in short, ‘I do what I say and I say what I do’ and I’m incredibly proud to have frequently been called a genuine, down-to-earth, good bloke – as those are the virtues I hold dear and there is no greater compliment in my mind.

I am incredibly excited to be part of the dynamic team at Barfoot & Thompson Royal Heights and to continue to assist people as they achieve their property dreams; whether they are just starting out, upsizing, downsizing or getting on the investment ladder.

When I’m not working, or spending time with my beautiful wife and grandchildren, you’ll likely find me riding my Triumph Motorbike or doing a spot of Fishing. If I can be of help, please give me a call, I’d love to hear from you!

Testimonials

Rod & Allen Pennefather - Arodella Cresent, Ranui.

"Thanks heaps for your help in selling Mum's house. We have been so lucky to have you deal with us and ALL the problems that a normal sale probably wouldn't have. Don't know where we would have been without you, especially while we live in Kalgoorlie and Al decided to move to Invercargill. Thanks so much for giving us the hard facts and also the wise advice on how we could tackle situations that continually arose, like buyers possibly scared of the house being in a flood plain even though it never flooded the house, or dealing with the toxicology report we didn't understand, or finding out the power was cut off due to us not being there to pay the power bill. I could go on and on. I know you kept saying it's part of your job and you liked to roll your sleeves up and get involved, but you went over and above. Thanks again and talk soon."

""Paul came into our lives at the perfect moment, saving us from running around West Auckland without a clue of what we were doing as we looked for our first home. He took the time to listen to what was important to us, prioritising our needs and making sure we were happy with the house we bought instead of pushing us into a quick purchase like other salespeople had tried to do before. After finding the house we wanted, he took care of the negotiations to get us a better deal, even including other things to the contract to protect us. He made the process a lot simpler and took away a lot of our stress. Paul was wonderful to work with and we can’t recommend him enough for anyone looking to buy or sell a house.""
