Before real estate, he spent 17 years in the funeral industry, starting as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, adding celebrancy, and eventually leading operations, before a further chapter in retirement village management. Craig spent nearly two decades sitting across from people in some of the hardest moments of their lives, earning trust not through charm or pressure, but through honesty, calm, and a steady hand. That's still how he works today.
Now based in Christchurch with Arizto Real Estate, Craig works with sellers and buyers across Christchurch and the Selwyn district. He'd rather give you the honest advice than the comfortable one, and he's more interested in you making the right call than in getting a listing signed. That thinking is backed by his studies in a Bachelor of Business majoring in Property.
Craig started his real estate career with two of New Zealand's largest franchise agencies, and it was a revealing experience. He saw how the traditional commission model works, who it's really designed to benefit, and where a client's interests can quietly take a back seat. Outside of work, Craig enjoys exploring Christchurch with his husband Brad and their Hungarian Vizsla, Rudi, travelling when the opportunity arises, and spending quality time with family and friends.
