Matt Morton - Colliers International
Matt's background involves commercial business account management in the ICT sector and then ownership & development of his own Otago business franchise for an international company. In 2011 Matt entered the real estate industry with Colliers International to introduce and develop the Colliers International brand into the specialised university investment market, or better known as the 'student flat' market. Within our first full year, Matt secured a solid market share position for the company and has continued to develop a premium brand synonymous with Colliers Internationals' wider reputation.
In 2015 we expanded our residential investment territory to the wider Dunedin area. This now incorporates larger investment blocks of flats, freestanding tenanted property and specialised apartment investment property.
We are known amongst clients as a very professional and reliable company to work with and our presence and reputation is continuing to grow year on year.
In our first full year in 2012 in the University Investment market, we secured the sale of the first $1m+ property in five years since the recession came to force, placing our mark on the university investment sector. We are now selling approximately 80% of our property listings to 'out-of-town' buyers, outstripping the market average of 40% and are known for securing lucrative North Island buyers for our clients with our national brand and reach.
