No stranger to hard work, Chris has a diverse range of skills which enabled him to work all over the world – within the Royal New Zealand Navy, running his own security company and a top salesman for several multi-national companies.

Since 2013 Chris has worked at the ‘front-line’ in real estate where he has been personally involved in hundreds of property transactions as an Elite Salesperson in Whangarei and joining the top 2% of salespeople globally at Ray White. He is renowned for his personable approach, local knowledge and extensive career in commercial and residential sales throughout Australasia.

In 2019 Chris took on the leadership role of sales performance manager with new agents and co-owner of Ray White Whangarei. Chris has a specialised understanding of family business, leadership and succession that will continue to build the client experience for those using Hannam & Co Realty.

The Hannam Story is synonymous with local.

Hannam & Co Realty is a boutique agency based in Parua Bay. Siblings, Chris and Alex Hannam have strong ties to Whangarei Heads. They have lived in Pataua since the mid-1990s and thrive in the rural community. Their family values citizenship which is evidenced in their continued involvement in local charities, boards and newsletters.

The Hannam family spent half of their formative years on a farm north of Auckland helping feed lambs, building tree huts, and riding quad bikes. A job opportunity saw the family relocate to Pataua and they fell in love with the community. While Chris and Alex explored the world and followed varied career paths, they always found themselves drawn back to The Heads for holidays and family gatherings. The coastal lifestyle eventually drew Chris and Alex to make the permanent repatriation to the idyllic Pataua.

Principal, Chris Hannam, has forged a successful career in sales in varying roles and transacted over 300 properties in real estate. It has been no surprise to the Hannam family that he has thrived in a demanding sales environment as they watched him from the age of 8 negotiate the Silverdale Markets. He revealed his pint-size sales prowess with his ‘brick a brack’ stall. Chris’s kind nature, unfaltering dedication to community, and passion for the art of negotiation made the transition to real estate seamless. Chris has established himself as the ‘go-to’ guy to facilitate real estate transactions since 2013.
