A passion for land and property started early for Ricky Kumar. Originally from Punjab, India, licensed real
estate salesperson Ricky grew up with a father in the land business. Ricky operates across the South
Auckland neighbourhoods of Papatoetoe, Manukau and Papakura and surrounding suburbs. Continuing
the family traditions, real estate is second nature, and he has many satisfied clients who refer their family
and friends to him.
With a past career dominated by achievements in the fast-food industry, Ricky uses his strong
understanding of technology and customer service when marketing and promoting his client’s properties.
Ricky graduated with a Bachelor in Information Technology before moving to New Zealand in 2007.
While studying for his post-graduate Diploma in Level 7 Computing and Information Sciences at AUT,
Ricky worked part-time in the fast-food industry and was quickly promoted to restaurant manager at
Papatoetoe’s Burger King. His business acumen and leadership-skills saw him turn many other stores to
higher profits and the next nine years saw Ricky winning numerous company-wide awards and promoted
to upper management. In 2017 he moved to KFC and did the same transformational work with their
stores. When buying his own home in The Gardens in 2018 he saw that real estate was the perfect fit for
his skills and determination to succeed. He became licensed in late 2019 and has never looked back. Ricky
is sociable, results-driven, entrepreneurial and ethical with a can-do attitude and the capacity to multitask. He is a standout communicator and able to clearly focus on seller’s
and buyer’s property needs and listen to what they want to achieve.
He’s an accomplished negotiator and tenacious about getting a deal
over the line.
In his spare time Ricky is a committed family man and indulges when he
can in his two other great loves – playing cricket and
reading history.
