Her connection to the local area runs deep - her grandfather Leroy Cockburn was a constable in Petone, local community figure and patrolled the streets on a bike in the 70s.

Mo, along with her husband and three children is a proud resident of the Hutt Valley and is passionate about connecting with the community, especially through sport and local schools. Having supported her husband for many years playing rugby for Hutt Old Boys Marist rugby, she now enjoys Saturday mornings on the sidelines watching her youngest son play on the fields of the Hutt Valley.
