I started selling real estate in Kerikeri in 2002 and have spent most of that time with REAL. I completed my Diploma in Real Estate in 2015 and became co-owner of the business in 2018.

I enjoy the challenge of helping people realise their goals. It is the reason I come to the office everyday with the added benefit of working with a great group of colleagues/friends in our unique REAL family environment.

I love challenging the status quo and seeking better ways to improve our customer experience. When we decided to break from traditional real estate models in 2004 and share our commissions equally this was exhilarating, unexplored territory. The idea was to remove the incentives that made good salespeople self oriented, i.e., individual based commissions, and develop a system that provides a happy, cooperative workplace that delivers the best possible service to our customers. Nobody else was or is doing it. Could it be done successfully?

Well here we are many, many years later with a terrific loyal following of customers who have enjoyed our unique, friendly culture and they tell us it absolutely works. It is so exciting to work together, sharing information and being totally focused on getting the best possible result for our clients with none of the usual conflict and self interest found in more traditional real estate operations. Since making the change we sell more homes than any other company in Kerikeri and everyone wins.
