"TO WHOM IT MY CONCERN
Selling our family home after 22 happy years was not an easy decision. Logic vied with emotions as we tried to decide the best way to go about the task.
Finally, we decided to ask three agencies to propose their plan for us. Prudence Foster and Claire Curlewis from Harcourts Cooper & Co, Milford represented one of these. After the initial meeting, we decided they were the people to sell our property, although they weren’t to know this until after submitting their formal proposal a week later. The proposal endorsed many of their initial comments and gave detail of what to expect.
What appealed to us from the start was their honesty, their enthusiasm, their passion and sincerity in everything they did, their advice of how to do things right and their extensive industry knowledge. Once we accepted their proposal, everything flowed. We followed the plan they set with appropriate urgency and everything fell into place with minimal fuss.
Their plan involved extensive staging, a marketing campaign where they were able to secure two feature front-page articles and an onsite auction using Andrew North, New Zealand’s leading auctioneer. Along the way they did all the usual things, you would expect in terms of keeping us up to date with buyer interest and market feedback.
It was obvious in the two weeks leading up to the auction that they kept in close contact with prospective buyers and there was a feeling of calmness and unity on the night of the auction. The auction itself went extremely smoothly, attended by 70 people, with a financial outcome that exceeded our expectations.
In summary:
Was it stressful? Of course
Was the process easy? Not always
Did we have doubts at times? Yes
Did we lose faith in Prudence and Claire? No
Were we happy with the outcome? Yes, unreservedly, they exceeded our expectations in every respect
If you are looking for someone to sell your property, we can thoroughly recommend Prudence and Claire"
