David’s education was completed at both Auckland Grammar School and Prior Park College, Bath, England. His Tertiary education was finished off with a 3 year Diploma in Hospitality Management covering a broad range of topics including Advertising, Marketing, Sales, Economics, HR, Management, Law, and Accounting along with practical Food and Beverage subjects.

As an active supporter of both the Point Chevalier Bowling Club and Western Springs AFC his grass roots connection with the area allow him to talk with confidence about the many amenities and the benefits of living locally.

David and his wife have two children, a son Dominic who is currently Head Boy at St Peters College and daughter Lucija who attends St Marys.
